How to Case Like a Spy AKA Don’t be Weird [GORUCK]

Interested in doing a GORUCK Challenge but want to start a little smaller? That’s what the GORUCK Light was made for. We hear it’s not necessarily easier, just shorter and with less weight. You will be tested but remember, it’s all mental.

“If you can do a mud-run or a 5K, you can do Light. Our Cadre will introduce you to the power of a team.”

GORUCK just launched some new rucks. Well, not really new but a different take on what they currently offer. This is the new Slick line.

They have no exterior MOLLE webbing, no Velcro (for a patch), and no exit port for your hydration bladder’s tube.

“Tip: SK26 is less identifiable which makes it more covert than GR1. And while you’re using it as a daypack anywhere in the world, that’s important stuff.”

They look good and I’m sure there are a lot of people who like what GORUCK offers but don’t have a need for external MOLLE. In fact, I don’t really use the MOLLE on my GR1 on a daily basis but I do like that it’s there (Mike).

If you are or know a lady who has been on the fence about doing a GORUCK Challenge due to all the sweaty guys grunting around, you’ll be excited to learn that there are some women only Challenges on the horizon.

“Women’s Only classes are not The GORUCK Challenge lite. The patch is the same, and it will be earned, as it always has been. The only difference is that these classes are only open to female participants. All other classes are open to both men and women.”

Ruck Across America - You probably aren’t a stranger to GORUCK but the Ruck Across America is something a little different. GORUCK Challenge alumni are carrying a GORUCK GR1 across the country and adding special things to it here and there. A very cool idea and worth checking out. Consider donating to the Green Beret Foundation and follow the trek on either the site, Twitter, or Facebook.

Since doing the GORUCK Challenge, I get asked a lot about which GORUCK bag someone should get. I really tell them to get whichever one they think they’ll use the most. Although, it will make a difference if you are 7 feet tall and order their smallest bag (ECHO) but you should pick the ruck…

These guys deserve your respect. 

I don’t speak for anyone else but myself when I say this, but as a country, we need to stop idolizing athletes by wearing team jerseys and start wearing shirts, hats, hoodies, whatever that support our military. Don’t let it stop there, find ways to get involved by sending care packages, writing letters, anything you can do to show your support.

These individuals put their lives on the line every single day to make sure we can sleep safe and sound. Get your priorities straight and honor the real heroes.
